Traxus IV was a human-coded AI, situated on Mars, that infamously underwent Rampancy.

In 2206, Traxus became Rampant, neccesitating the complete shutdown of the Martian Planetary Network. It took more than two years to repair the damage, and the effects were felt for more than a decade after.^[1]

Traxus is the name of a mining company in the Halo universe.

Bungie filed a trademark for Traxus in 2023. This led to legal action from Traxxas (an RC company).^[2]
