Two times two equals... is the twentieth level in Marathon. It is the fourth level of The Pfhor, the fifth chapter of the game. Still on board the Pfhor spaceship, your mission is once again to explore everywhere in an attempt to find Bernard Strauss.
This part of the Pfhor ship is populated by Pfhor Fighters, Troopers, and Enforcers.
There is one pattern buffer on this map, in the a room to the west of the starting position. A 2x shield recharger is located in a corridor further to the west.
The level has a circular layout; after making your way clockwise through various rooms, you'll eventually reach the starting position again.
Just like the other Pfhor levels in this game, there are no terminals to be found here.
Walkthrough[]
From the starting position, go south and jump down the pit next to the stream of slime running down. The room to your west has a pattern buffer.
Continue on towards the south room. The corridor to the east leads to the final room of the level. However, Durandal won't teleport you out just yet, since you haven't explored the whole map yet.
The way forwards is a bit tricky to see. Back in the south room marked A on the map, jump towards the southern ledge. There's a door leading further on at the northwestern end of this ledge, with a 2x shield charger just ahead.
Continue north past the recharger. The path to take through this part of the level is fairly linear, going north before turning east.
In the room with two inactive Hunters, the door to the west takes you to a corridor running back to a few previously visited rooms. The southern door in the Hunter room, on the other hand, leads to an elevator that takes you back to the start of the level. This time, make your way to the large room in the southeast of the level. Stand in front of the window and Durandal will teleport you to Beware of Low-Flying Defense Drones...
