He hypothesized that S'pht and F'lickta biology were similar and that the two are similar in an evolutionary standpoint. He ordered Science Officer 2nd class St'ngr, his subordinate, to test this theory, which led to St'ngr crushing S'pht with broken-down elevators. The tests were no immediate success, but he eventually still concluded the species were related.
